A Letter to Myself

Dear Future Me,

Always remember to be kind
Be open minded and don't be blind
Help others through their deepest fall
Never forget the beauty in every flaw
Once a while, wish upon a star
Even though your dreams are so far
Take pictures, because memories will fade
Follow the light, and not the shades
Your mistakes, does not reflect who you are
Time will heal pain, but forever leave a scar
Accept love, but also give love
The sky is not the limit, there's so much more above
Don't be afraid, be brave
Everything is going to be okay
Love, the past me.

Where Have You Gone?

Oh my childhood years, where have you gone
I remember you so dearly, the memories that I held on
Blowing dandelions, believing that wishes will come true
Only to realize that the petals only flew
Not a speck of worry going through my mind
Can I please go back in time and rewind?
Those innocent years, where have you gone
Now there's not much to hold on

Roses

Roses for all the beautiful souls
The ones that died without reaching their goals
Take a deep breath, and remember their names
There's no need to be ashamed
Every teardrops will reach their soul
Although their voices cannot be heard
Their souls will speak with floating words
We cope with grief to fix all the wrongs
We stand up to become strong
To give respect to the fallen sun
There's nothing that can be done

Childhood Cancer

September is childhood cancer awareness month...and I'm sure not everyone is aware of that. Cancer is not rare because everyday, there are kids who are diagnosed with cancer. They're young. They got so much to live for...but an obstacle stands in their way. A lot of people knows the word cancer, but they probably do not know much about childhood cancer. I've been following many pages on Facebook about childhood cancer and it saddens me to see one by one...pass away. Something should be done to help these kids. We, as a society can help these kids find a cure and raise awareness so people can acknowledge that kids do get cancer too. I never buy music online...but when I heard Taylor Swift's song about Ronan, I just had to purchase it. Till today, Ronan is one of the only songs in my playlists. Recently, I stumble upon a petition of lighting the White House gold for the month of September. I think this is a great idea to raise awareness! I really do hope the White House say yes to this! If they can light up the White House pink for Breast Cancer, I am positive that they will light up gold for childhood cancer. Lighting up the White House will not bring these children back, but it will at least raise awareness and we will be able to honor these kids who died fighting cancer.

Colors Makes the World Goes Round

I was strolling down the road in the breezy cool wind
Wondering where the yellow sunny days has been
Walking around to burn off some extra calories
Glancing at the neighborhood’s garden of red cherries
A yellow bus with blasting music passed by the street
I can hear kids dancing happily to the music beat
A purple ice cream truck tattle along
Hoping to attract the kids’ attention with a song
A mother with her small children stops to buy some
The smile on the children immediately blossom
As the little boy licked on his orange Popsicle
I can visualize a picture of the clear blue sky
With people surrounding the street as they pass by
Each individual had a special glowing light bulb
Their imagination has painted the world with love
